Three Dumb Theatre
Formed in 2015 by LIPA graduates, we are a young theatre company committed to delivering great storytelling. We have produced various fringe theatre productions and host an annual play festival in the heart of London’s West End called ‘Six Plays One Day’. From this festival, some of our plays have been developed for longer runs elsewhere, like our 2020 production of ‘Am I Happy Yet’ at the Lion & Unicorn Theatre, which received an OffComm Award from OffWestEnd. Our critically acclaimed one-man show ‘Dog/Actor’ was due to tour the UK in the summer of 2020, after a few successful runs in Watford, London and Dubai in 2019. The tour was rescheduled for the summer of 2022 and was programmed as part of the Bath Fringe, Camden Fringe and Edinburgh Fringe. When the 2020 pandemic hit, we decided to go digital and created multiple live-streamed digital theatre shows, firstly from home and then from empty theatres. Our online work won multiple awards and in 2022 we won the Offie Award for Best Live-streamed Production for 'The Black Cat', In October 2021, we created a brand new solo show called 'One Man Poe' - a quadruple-bill of gothic tales from Edgar Allan Poe, performed live on stage by one actor. The show was programmed at the Watford Fringe, London Horror Festival and for a special one-off Halloween performance at the Southwark Playhouse. 'One Man Poe' received an OffComm Award from OffWestEnd.
