Tina Lake’s Cafe

Tina's Cafe

We’re delighted to announce that our new café – Tina Lake’s Coffee and Cakes – is now open every day, apart from Sundays.

The new opening times are:

1-5pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; 2-9pm on Tuesdays; 2-6pm on Saturdays; closed on Sundays.

So why not pop along to the Charles Room and enjoy our vibrant and inclusive creative space that you can enjoy over a coffee and cake. As well as tasty refreshments and friendly volunteers ready to chat, you can also take in the current art exhibition on display in our dedicated gallery.

The new venture has been set up thanks to a community grant from Watford Borough Council and is run by volunteers from the Pump House and Proud Watford.

The café has been named after Tina Lake, the drag queen persona of Bryan Timberlake, who at 92-years-old is the UK’s longest serving drag performer.

NEW ACTIVITIES

Tuesdays 2-3.30pm: Knit and Natter - our new knitting group, all abilities welcome.

Tuesdays 7-9pm: But I Can't Draw! - So what!? Come along to learn a new skill or hone a skill you may already have practiced - all abilities and skill levels welcome. We'll be observing and drawing interesting still life scenes (all equipment provided). If you have any interesting objects in your home, please feel free to bring them along for us to draw. This is not an art class per se, but rather a space of self-exploration through self-expression. We're so preoccupied in today's society with what the next step is that we forget to just be present, we forget to observe. We're so worried about not being good enough that we just don't try. This space is defying that mindset

For more information about booking the café space for an activity, getting your artwork exhibited or to volunteer at the café please email office@pumphouse.info
