Be a part of the River Colne legacy!
Join Groundwork East to hear about the plans for 2026!
Hear a brief update about the latest news and get together to discuss volunteering action that will cover the year.
We have moved this event to the Pump House Theatre and Arts Centre on 11 March to offer a sneak preview of the River Colne Art Exhibition. We will have our usual 'coffee evening' volunteering updates and discussions, but with a chance to view paintings, photography and sculpture influenced by the River Colne, by local residents like you!
More about the event:
This evening is a chance to meet with other residents to discuss your involvement in volunteering and how we can encourage more participation in the new year
The evening will start with a complimentary tea/coffee voucher, further drinks will be available for purchase behind the bar. Biscuits will be provided.
Followed by introductions by the Groundwork East and Watford Borough Council staff.
Details of the volunteering opportunities will be given with a chance for residents to show their interest
Attendees will then get the chance to voice how they think the legacy of the River Colne should be continued.
Preview entry to the River Colne Art Exhibition!
We want to hear what you would like to see along the River Colne
Rediscovering the River Colne is a ground breaking project that aspires to bring the River Colne to the heart of Watford Town and its people. The project will see the Colne corridor become a positive asset and is organised by Groundwork East, a community and environmental charity working across the East of England to change places and lives.
