Box office opens on Watford Fringe Festival 2026

The box office has opened on the Watford Fringe Festival 2026, which this year is celebrating its 10th anniversary.

An extraordinary live line-up of great theatre, music, comedy, dance, family fun-filled shows and more is planned across the whole of the month of July, right on your doorstep.

So far, we’re predicting well over 70 performances across the festival with more acts expected to sign up by the end of May. There’s everything from pre-Edinburgh shows to renowned stand-up comics, music from international recording artists, award-winning acts, premieres of new material, returning favourites, and local talent.

This year’s Watford Fringe Festival will officially kick off at a special launch event in the town centre on 4 July. Venues already signed up to host performances include the Watford Pump House, Watford Colosseum, Watford Palace Theatre, West Herts College, Lanchester School, and St Mary’s and St John’s Churches.

The Festival is organised by the Watford Pump House in partnership with Watford Borough Council and sponsored by Watford Town Centre.

Lee Farman, chair of the Watford Pump House, said: “When we first floated the idea of staging a performing arts Fringe festival here in Watford we had no idea that 10 years on it would have grown into the success it is today.

“We’re really excited about the range and quality of performing arts we’re able to bring audiences in Watford this year. Some of these shows are going to sell out fast so we highly recommend booking your tickets early to avoid disappointment.”
