If you’re a performer now’s your chance to sign up to be part of this year’s Watford Fringe Festival – the amazing annual arts showcase.
The Fringe is now in its seventh year – temporarily going online during the pandemic lockdown – and organisers are planning an even bigger and better creative festival for 2023.
Every year, venues across Watford host an extraordinary live line-up of great theatre, music, comedy, dance, magic and family fun-filled shows. Last year there were over 70 performances headlined by satirist, social media sensation and Chortle Award winner Rosie Holt. There were plenty of local and national performers as well as international acts from Italy, Spain and America.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to apply, there’s no selection criteria. All you need to do is register your event online by the end of July.
Lee Farman, chair of the Watford Pump House which organises the event, said: “The Watford Fringe aims to give anyone the chance to perform and showcase their talents, from very experienced performers and companies, to ambitious newcomers.”
This year promises to be just as spectacular so get the dates in your diary now. It’s taking place 22 September – 8 October with the main weekend of events between Friday 29 September to Sunday 1 October.
Venues already signed up are Amanartis, The Garden Rooms, The Horns, The Pump House, The Tudor Arms, Watford Palace Theatre, and the Wellspring Centre, with more expected to be on board soon.
