An evening in the Colne River Room of music and anecdotes paying tribute to the talent and eccentricity of Tom Waits
He has produced the most amazing diversity of music: composing for music theatre, plays & films. Under the growl of his distinctive voice there often lurk sweet tunes and always haunting lyrics – he has been described as America’s best lyricist since Johnny Mercer.
Covering songs from across his career we give a flavour of both his melancholy and his humour – and his range of styles from Folk to Jazz, from Blues to Rock.
