Yellow Comedy returns to the Pump House Theatre in Watford to present another night of FREE Stand up Comedy there.
Doors Open 7.30PM, Comedy Starts 8PM
Our Headliners are Monkey Wedding. They are a sketch troupe that had a successful 6 date run at the 2015 Camden Fringe and regularly perform in London. They have promised to try to pack the performance with a bunch of new sketches plus a few of their favourites.
Si Deaves is a stand up comic, hailing from the depths of Southend-on-Sea. After a turn around in his life in early 2014 he decided to turn to comedy and use it to question everything from people's misunderstanding of primary school level grammar, to the lack of scientific merit behind the facts that McVities try to spread, all the while bemused and amused by his own fears and neuroses.
Beth Frances is an actor, writer and director with a special fondness for comedy. Having spent 20 odd years dreaming about the wonders of drama school, she finally got there in 2011, gaining an MA with distinction (the only one in her year, she likes to boast loudly and often) in Acting for Screen at Drama Centre London.
Michael Hill is the Co-promoter of Yellow Comedy. He has performed in several different countries, notably Japan, Korea and a few American Military bases in Asia. He had a successful run at the Edinburgh festival in 2015 with his show 'My Two Years in Tokyo'. As well as being a fine stand up comedian Michael is a resident MC at a bunch of comedy nights and regularly does guest MC spots at different clubs in London.
Valerio Miconi is a mystery, hidden inside an enigma, coated in caramel, and wrapped in tinfoil. He begun performing stand-up comedy out of boredom, and in the hope it would get him laid. In a recent interview nobody asked him to give he said that: "things are not going exactly according to plan so far". An unemotional roller coaster. A riveting tale of something. A journey into the mind of a man with too much free time on his hands. You will leave the show thinking to yourself: "I really didn't need to know all that about him..."
Yellow Comedy Young Comedian of the Year 2015 Megan Shandley is from Edinburgh and graduated from LAMDA with a BA (Hons) in Acting in July 2014. Recent credits include the teaser film 'State Zero' and 'ALLIE' at the Edinburgh Fringe 2015. She performs stand-up comedy regularly across London.
Watford's own Andrew Carberry will be MC'ing the evening. Andrew is the Co-promoter of Yellow Comedy and recently notched up his 100th Comedy gig. Andrew is a thirty something chatty and daft English comic coming from an Indo-Irish Background. He's got a good line in audience interaction and useful gags and actouts.
