Keith Nichols' Hot Five is coming to The Pump House on 15th September for a nights to remember! Keith Nichols is an acclaimed Jazz pianist and uses the finest musicians in his Hot Five Band, featuring "Spats Langham" on banjo, guitar and vocals. Enrico Tomasso (trumpet), Trevor Whiting (reeds) and Richard Pite on drums. One of the foremost authorities on Classic Jazz and Ragtime. Keith specialises in older piano styles, often featuring the music of Fats Waller and an exponent of the Harlem Stride style of piano playing. Spats is one of the finest banjo/guitarists in the UK; he specializes in the crooning style of Bing Crosby, Al Bowlly and others, and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of 1920-30's music. Enrico is one of Britain's brightest and most versatile jazz stars who has played since the age of six. Trevor has toured with Chris Barber and played with the late Ken Colyer on several occasions. Richard is a British professional musician (drums, double bass, bass ukulele, tuba and sousaphone) and jazz historian specialising in the jazz of the early 20th Century. What a night! Don't miss out!
