The band is now approaching its 35th year in existence and since it's conception has set out to play the music of New Orleans from the 50's. The band has a wide repertoire including many lesser played numbers and is equally at home playing for concert or dancing audiences adopting their material to fit the settings. All the musicians have spent several periods in New Orleans since the early sixties with some making recordings in the city with the veterans of the music. The band tours mainly on mainland Europe but has also toured in Japan and Australia. Of local interest are two Watford born musicians Paul Sealey and Brian Turnock who used to go together to the old Watford Jazz Club at the Ex-Serviceman's Club on St Albans Road in the late 50's.
