1959 saw the formation of The Savoy Jazz band by Barry Palser just for the fun of the music. Learning from years of playing, it is a popular and very entertaining band, having achieved the making of many records, CD, Videos, appeared on TV and made national radio broadcasts. It has also played at festivals in Holland, Germany, Italy, France, Belgium and Eire, plus of course, the UK. We are, therefore, fortunate to be able to have this band with us at The Pump House. They include Tony Teale (reeds), Barry Palser (trombone), Tony Pitt (banjo/guitar), Alan Morgan (string bass), John Tyson (drums) and Pete Rudeforth (trumpet).
